It’s your academy
Students are at the heart of everything we do at STEM Academy. We pay close attention to what you tell us about life and studying here, so we can make your education experience the best it can possibly be. In return we value our students’ positive attitude to learning, respect for others and exemplary personal conduct.
Being on the Student Council is your chance to have hands-on involvement in the academic and social life of STEM Academy. Each member is elected through their tutor group and each brings their thoughts, ideas or concerns to meetings. These are held every six weeks and are attended by the Deputy Principal to ensure all actions are completed. Last year members organised our charity week and end-of-term celebrations. They made numerous valuable suggestions which were implemented by the academy.
Student Ambassadors are, in many ways, the faces of our academy. Their role includes mentoring new students and greeting visitors. Ambassadors work closely with staff and the Student Council.
We welcome all feedback, comments, complaints and compliments. There are a number of ways you can tell us about your experience at STEM Academy. These include going through the Student Council, responding to our student surveys, writing to the Principal or one of our governors, and speaking to your tutor.
